Last year, Federer failed in the second round after being knocked over unseeded Sergiy Stakhovsky. And it is the worst achievement Federer in 11-year career as a professional tennis player the world.
"I feel I have a very good chance again this year. I hope to utilize my fitness, the number of games I've played this year. So I actually came up with a much better feeling than last year," said Federer, as reported ESPN, Sunday (22/06/2014).
"This year I felt all the options have been back, serve and my backhand. Everything worked according to my wishes. For that reason, I felt I was a little more relaxed mentally because I knew it was there," he said.
Last year Federer struggled with a back injury ahead of the tournament last summer, but he still admits, he's part of the surprise elimination. While in drawing this time, Federer will play Paolo Lorenzi of Italy.
"I do not know if my game is good enough to win the entire championship last year, but I know it well enough to go away, at least the semi-finals," he added.
