Sport News: Julio Cesar Casillas Bela's performance at the World Cup

Iker Casillas shows poor performance over the ousting defending champion Spain in the group phase. It is inviting comments from Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

La Furia Roja were forced to return more quickly after swallowing two defeats. After the Dutch slaughtered 1-5, Vicente del Bosque's team made it surprisingly subdued Chile two goals without reply.

In the two games, Casillas made a blunder. First against the Dutch, the Spanish captain misjudged the pass so that it can be taken Robin van Persie to convert into goals. Secondly, Casillas punched the ball free kick straight at Charles Araguiz Chile who scored the winner.

Inevitably, Casillas also come under scrutiny over the performance. Spain advised to bangkucadangan Casillas pulled over to allow the other goalie.

But somehow Casillas remains one of the world's best goalkeeper. During his career in the national team, Casillas also the one who led Spain became European champion in 2008, 2012, and 2010 world.

"Casillas deserves respect," said Cesar Espana Football reported. "A lot of errors that occurred at the World Cup but that does not make him stop being a successful goalkeeper."

"And that is what should be understood by Spanish fans. Mistakes are just things that happen."

What happened to Spain to make Cesar shocked. He did not think Spain were eliminated at the start of the tournament.

"No one else would have thought that pessimistic with what happened in Spain. Spanyok had a lot of great players and have already won everything these days," said the former Inter Milan goalkeeper.

"This is another proof that football is a game of 11 versus 11 and you play the game before the game erased afterwards."
